OK! So I just got off the phone with the hatchery...

After being on hold a few times trying to explain that no, I wasn't trying to tell the difference between my cockrels and pullets, they had marked the cockrels with red on their heads for me, and that in fact my question was that the pullets didn't look like buff orpingtons at all, they finally understood what I was getting at. Spoke to probably three people on the phone before I FINALLY talked to someone who said yes, it sounds like we might have given you New hampshire reds instead.

Thank you, you finally understood what I was saying! LOL. I was told to wait another week and if they still look like new hampshire reds to call again and they would replace them with my five buff orpington pullets, I just have to drive the two and a half hours to pick them up. So its settled... but then it got funnier.
I got off the phone and was talking to my husband, then my phone rings
"yes its the hatchery again" ... ok what do you need
"we realized on your order we didn't have the cochins you ordered... did you get a refund or anything while you were here?"... No, the girl helping me went back and gave me buff cochins you had in the back
"but you said we sent you five buff cockrels when you ordered one on the BO?"... Yes thats right, I ordered one BO cockrel and one California white cockrel and got five of each.
"oh.... she should have caught that... well thank you!"...

Now I'm just laughing to myself at all of this. At least they are willing to make it right, and (probably stupidly) I plan on using them again LOL

I think throwing all those cockrels in was an accident and she was saying she should have noticed there were so many cockrels that I didn't order... or they were going to try and get me to take them instead of my cochins (good luck). Either way, I'm pretty entertained.
