Not a Cuckoo Marans- but what is it?

He mostly specializes in Marans, and does breed for show, so I suspect he keeps things rather separate. He had FBCM, Blue Marans, Cuckoo Marans and a few other breeds, I can't remember, but Wyandotte may have been one.

Probably a Blue Marans crossed with a Wyandotte then.

I would guess blue Wyandotte except the leg color is wrong for the breed. Wyandotte have yellow legs, marans have pink skin and legs and a single comb. Wyandotte have a rose comb. Either it's an accident or an intentional cross.

For sure. They definitely aren't yellow. And have some feathers. So as you mentioned, it sounds like a cross of some sort is most likely, maybe at some point we'll make a return trip and ask the breeder. Not too big of a deal since we are just family back yard chicken keepers for the eggs.
