Not a good start with introducing chicks to my Broody hen.

I think it would be a good idea to let Thumper keep this one. If you give Angel some eggs you can see if she is going to be a good mother or not.  She will need to actually sit on eggs for a while to get used to it so to speak.  Chances are she is confused as to why there was suddenly a chick.

Thanks. I just checked on them a bit ago and the chick is so much happier!!! All warm and toasty under her new mama.
 
Oh, by the way all my hens are broody right now. No eggs to give her unless i purchase some. My only other hen is currently raising her chicks that hatched 2 weeks ago. It's pretty crazy around here. Everyone is separated into broody areas and rooster just goes around and visits his girls. He even likes to go in and lay next to them if I let him. It's precious.
