LOL....I wasn't even thinking about where you were when i said that......I was just thinking about how the east coast time it was 4 pm and i think most eggs are out by then. When i type or read posts, i notice the changes in times once in a while. If i had just said it was too late for me to get an egg....someone on the west coast might think i was nuts. Sometimes in the morning (i get up at 6 eastern) I'm surprised to see only a handful of us and wonder why me and Aran are the only ones up so early
. Then i remembered that Y'all just went to bed in Cali
That's a BIG egg for her first. Wow. Or do you have tiny hands??
My girls are 19 weeks today. My Jersey Giant has
been laying an egg a day for 14 days and our Cali
White is on egg 7 or 8. The other 11 hens are still egg free
but the roosters REALLY like them.
All our eggs so far are smaller than yours. They
do taste really good.
Organic grocery store eggs on left - My Babies' eggs on right
Wow purplechicken......you must like eggs more than the rest of us if you are still buying store eggs plus you have all yours
Trish...or anyone.... I wonder if you noticed the Roos paying extra attention to the chicken that layed the egg??? I have been noticing mine chasing one of the wyondottes around bad lately. The wyondottes seem the most developed of all too. We have been thinking they'd be the first.
Congrats Southern............how exciting eh............
