My girls are 19 weeks today. My Jersey Giant has
been laying an egg a day for 14 days and our Cali
White is on egg 7 or 8. The other 11 hens are still egg free
but the roosters REALLY like them.

All our eggs so far are smaller than yours. They
do taste really good.

Wow purplechicken......you must like eggs more than the rest of us if you are still buying store eggs plus you have all yours

Trish...or anyone.... I wonder if you noticed the Roos paying extra attention to the chicken that layed the egg??? I have been noticing mine chasing one of the wyondottes around bad lately. The wyondottes seem the most developed of all too. We have been thinking they'd be the first.

My roo shows ALL the girls the same attention...all 22 that he has access to. Remember Blind Tiny has a house and run of her own.

It was a pretty big egg. I DON'T have small hands at all. I'm 5'9" with huge hands and feet and long arms and legs. I have chimp-like features.
