Not a silkie person. Fiance wanted silkies. Got silkies. What gender?

Long story short, I swore I'd never have weird fluffy chickens that are intolerably hard to sex correctly. I now have two of them, and their normal hatchmates are starting to lay. I have a gut feeling the black one is a cockerel and the blue is a pullet, based on vocalizations, size, and head shape. When do silkie cockerels typically develop streamers? Any input on the gender of these two would be appreciated, as I'm hoping to sell one of them soon and I'd like to know what to charge. Thanks.

I, too, think you're right. As far as how much to sell them for, I'd browse Craigslist and Facebook groups to see what others on your area are charging. Here, laying Silkies go for anywhere from 25 - 50 (50 being higher quality birds). Cockerels/roosters are usually offered for free.
