not a typical farm dog

this is hoss, a rescue i took him in when his owner left him. what we were told he's a mean dog towards animals but that was false. he's a very sweet caring dog who protects our chickens everyday and night. we have silkie babies and he loves to sniff them and lay by their nursery. Friday night we had two raccoons come in and try to mess around our animals hoss was inside he popped his head up and we let him out because of how alert he was. he was able to catch them up our tree! not all dogs can be farm dogs but this boy here is! he looks mean but he's the sweetest baby and became a key tool to our little farm.

Here is my thinking. His previous owner was a NO GOOD PERSON.
You rescued him, and gave him LUV.
Now he is living in a happy homestead.
Sometimes we underestimate what other animals are capable of understanding.
