I think I've figured it out--it's a French Wheaten Marans.That wasn't even a breed listed in the store.

That's likely... keep an eye out for dark feathers over the chest, that will indicate a cockerel. The males and females in wheaten are sexually dimorphic... meaning they don't look the same.
I guessed wheaten Marans as well. Unusual for a hatchery bird, but wheaten is the only color that makes sense for that down color.I think I've figured it out--it's a French Wheaten Marans.That wasn't even a breed listed in the store.
