Not able to walk

Can a quail chick die from not being able to walk? I have a chick that has curled toes and can’t walk. It just slides around. I’ve taped its toes open.

If it can't walk, it's going to have a very hard time getting to food and water or getting away from bullies. Taping the toes is a good start. See how those toes look in 12-24 hours. If there's no improvement, its quality of life is going to be very poor, so while it might survive, it would be kinder to cull.

Yes they can sometimes die with extreme splay leg. Depending on severity and how quickly you taped, sometimes they recover. Sometimes they survive just fine with curled toes.

Ok thanks, but my quail isn’t doing very well. it’s just sleeps, and barely moves. I think it might die.
