Not again! Lockdown?

I knew something looked kind of funny in there. Poor baby was a little bit shrink wrapped. Somewhere on here is a very long Thread about me assisting with hatching with my other little ones that hatched a month ago. I did a tiny bit of assisting, but as little as possible and made sure to keep little baby as much in the eggshell as possible so that it could absorb all of that goodness. It kicked the rest of the shell off today and I'm letting it still in the incubator are all nice and warm at about 65% humidity or so. Lots of chirping and sleeping, but nice healthy breathing. I will probably give it some warm sugar water or electrolyte later on, but so far so good.
I'm she's doing okay now! Keep us updated!! Sounds like you did a good job with the assist!

Lol. This will have to be the last one for a bit. My dad is being a bit of a blankety blank blank about an enclosure for them, even though we have plenty of room and Cap flew away. 😓 They are doing well, though, and not big enough to be outside yet, so we're okay. I just hope they all decide to be girls!
I hope they all decide to be girls too!

Congratulations! I'd love to see a picture of the little one if you don't mind. I have a lone Aussie Spot duck hen that thinks she's a Call, since that's all she knows. Is your Australian Spotted a green, blue, or silver head? Do you know what color call? Thank you 💜

The aussie spotted drake has a splash of green on top of his head, but doesn't have a full green head. The call is a sweet snowy call. Some of the first set of babies are spotteds if you're looking for a (technically half) spotted! I want to keep them all, but I'm all for making more spotted pairs out there! Here are pics of papa, mama, the first 8 babies, and new baby!

Thank you for sharing these pictures! Gorgeous ducks! I know they're making you proud. My Aussie Spot hen is a Green head and she can be paired with a grey Call drake or a Porcelain Aztec drake (same color as a Pastel Call). So I'm just not sure yet. I was surprised at her size. I was expecting more of a size difference between the two breeds, but she's very similar in size. All of my bantam duck breeds are similar in size for the most part. I wish I had an Aussie Spotted drake, but only time will tell 😊 Thanks again for sharing your beautiful babies with me

Sure!! If you end up needing an aussie drake let me know! One or two of the spotties may end up being a boy!
