Sorry it took me an extra day @HeatherKellyB ! Please don't judge their enclosure, I've been working on it and I am definitely not a licensed builder!Sure! I'll get some tomorrow in the sunshine! I'm sure he would love to come live with you!!
Their enclosure is nice!!! Any flock would be incredibly blessed to have such a nice placeSorry it took me an extra day @HeatherKellyB ! Please don't judge their enclosure, I've been working on it and I am definitely not a licensed builder!![]()
Thank you! It's still in progress! My original spotted drake, Downey, would definitely be excited about breeding, but if I were to hatch any more ducks, my family would throw me out!Their enclosure is nice!!! Any flock would be incredibly blessed to have such a nice placeYou've done an amazing job! How's your handsome drake doing? I need to figure out how far you are
So the original pair is Downey, an Aussie Spotted greenhead drake and a Snowy Call Hen? My snowy call hen just hatched 6 little Call ducklings. Well they're about 3 weeks old now but she's been amazing!Thank you! It's still in progress! Yep! Before the first molt, they looked almost exactly like the hens. Remy is doing exactly what Downey did with his first molt- he temporarily hid most of his spots and has coloring almost exactly like a mallard (Remy has a bright green head, though! Downey just had a splash of green). Downey's next molt brought back all the spots, so I'm sure Remy will do the same. The boys have more circular spots, and the girls have more angular ones. I will have to get a good pic of Remy in the light for you, he is very handsome! So the Aussie spotted Greenhead drakes look a lot like the hens but with the green head?
