I adopted this hen a few weeks ago, her name is Calypso or Caly for short. I didn’t see this at all before but just realized it tonight, one of her waffles curves in and looks like it was torn at one point? It could be from before we adopted her, she’s a lone survivor out of 20 chickens killed by a predator. Think it’s just an old battle scar? Or could my hens be picking on her? They stopped after a day and she bonded with my youngest hen Sunny and my second youngest Dill Weed who is the top of the younger pecking order, Cinnamon still holds top spot for all though, and she has no missing feathers or other injuries, this one looks pretty old as well.
