I would also (cautiously) be leaning towards gout as the problem...
First off what have you been feeding her? Have you been mixing oystershell in with the feed ? (If you have please stop...oyster shelll should never be mixed in with the feed but offered separately free choice)
Can you feel the "inflamed" areas...do they feel hard or somewhat fluidy?
