I was outside feeding her water in a syringe when I realized that she is crawling with what I think are mites. I checked when I isolated her and didn't see anything at the time, so I doubt they were the initial cause. But they're certainly not helping!

I dosed her when I put her in isolation, jic, and just did it again.

She can't hold up her head anymore. It took the other hen weeks to get to this point.

She seems to deteriorate despite your efforts. The mites will lead to severe blood loss/anaemia which needs to be treated urgently as well. Raw beef liver will help restore red blod cells.

Change the entire coop and nest bedding and burn the old to kill the mites.

Can you get some permethrin/garden powder to treat her and the coop, and probably the rest of them as well? If you use that, it needs to be repeated 7-10 days later as it won't kill eggs and those may hatch. Then like @LaFleche suggested, I'd pull everything out of the coop into garbage bags. Haul that far from the coop and burn it.

I would continue with Vit E and scrambled eggs, and B-Complex though, once a day for at least another week. I have silkies that get the jitter/shaking heads sometimes, and that takes weeks to subside, but it works.

None of the others appear to have any external parasites. I'll keep an eye on that, but I checked her over when I brought her in. If she had any at that point it wasn't enough that I could see it. I think the mites are taking over because she's already weak.

She's not in a traditional coop, but in a greenhouse that I wasn't using. Maybe I could help her dust bathe with DE as well.

We use DE in the coop monthly, and never had mites albeit SLM. But for a mite outbreak, DE would take too long. She needs them dead now as they are sucking the life out of her.
