When I boot up the DESKTOP it freezes up...Sometimes I don't even get to click on my avatar at the very begining (for my account)
Other times I can get to click on it and then before it gets to the main page it's froze. One time I was able to click on google or something and it stayed froze on there until the computer was turned off. Which because it's frozen can't be done with a shut down. It's actually gotta be unplugged just to turn it off..
I had asked GeekSquad about it and they said it would cost $200 for them to do there work and another $100 for the back up disk of all the stuff I don't wanna lose.
When I see the $300 price I am almost considering just getting a whole new computer set up. DeskTops are way cheaper now than they were. I personally don't like LapTops at all even though that's what I am using right now. I miss the mouse(we do have the cordless mouse if I wanted to use it), the keys feel weird, and I learned all my not so great computer skills on the desktop so I kinda fell outta my element using a laptop...Pretty sad I know.
But again Thanks you guys for all your help. I will check the sites you mentioned out and kinda go from there. Taxes are getting done soon, so 'fingers crossed' if worse comes to worse maybe there would be enough for a new computer....
