Hi, I am new to chickens. I have wanted chickens for a long time, but the living situation wasn't right. I learned a lot by watching Homestead Rescue. I am excited to finally get them for many reasons! They will help feed my family, and provide excellent nutrition. I want to learn new livestock skills. I want to be more self sufficient. And if they turn out to be really cool pets in the process, it's a huge win.

I just got my permit from the city. I am building my coop starting this weekend. I don't have any chickens yet, but plan to get 5 as soon as the coop is ready.
