Not Emergency-Mareks vaccination

From what I read if you have vaccinated birds, they can give it to the birds not vaccinated. It is a leaky vaccine, meaning they become carriers. You are essentially introducing Mareks to your flock. I wouldn't do it unless you get all your birds from the same source like a hatchery. Give them access to dirt and let them build their own immunities.
 
I have original birds who were vaccinated at the hatchery, and many who were hatched here, and have never seen Mareks in 8 years. You might call your state vet or extension agent to see how common it is in your state or area. If your orginal birds were not vaccinated, I probably would not bother vaccinating.
 
I would vaccinate! Just my vote. You can check if local vet will do on day one or do it yourself.
