NOT Feathering out!!!

Thanks every one! I was just a lil worried, him being the only 1 like this. Even the 3 week olds have more feathers than him/her. I didn't even think about his legs. They are thick compared to some of the others. I know a few roosters and a few hens. those I am positive about. But alot of the others is still a wait and see. LOL I will definately keep him inside until he feathers out. The others still have about 3 weeks. I want to wait until they are 8 weeks old. The DW want them out NOW! LOL I told her they would die if I put them out before they reach 8 weeks. (wink, wink)

hahaha I keep the brooders clean. She swears she can smell them. I think she just want her exercise room back. LOL I have 47 5 week old B/B/S JG's in 1 brooder and 5 B/B/S Jg's in another, then I have 5 RIR in the last 1 for her DM. And the sportsman bator all the supplies and the LG in her exercise room. LOL HA HA HA There is just enough room for me to be able to sit and play with them. They are so GREAT! I love them all. It is gonna be hard to do what I have to!!! They are a buisness and not pets!(yeah right) I will have 1 or 2 for pets. (maybe 50)

Thanks again!

My slowest feathering birds have always been little roosters.

I have HEARD that there are breeds/lines that will have slower feathering pullets, but uh, I haven't met one yet

Also, I wouldn't seperate him when it comes time for them to go out even if he is feathering slower. You'll only cause more problems when it's time for him to re-join the others. They forget each other quickly. He'll be fine going out with the others.
