Not getting any eggs need help!

Do they have a quiet space to lay eggs, where there isn't much noise.

Yeah they lay in the coop but we have found eggs under the shed and in the garden before.

Sounds to me like you should try to keep them in the coop until they lay, theres probably hidden eggs all over your yard.

Okay I'll try to do that but what if they don't lay any eggs of being in the coop? We don't have a vet that does chickens near us.

The 5 yr old's may not lay very often, so lets concentrate of the 2 year old's. So out of those 6 you should be getting at least 4 eggs per day. They don't always lay every day. Trying keeping them in the coop till later in the afternoon and see how they do. The hawk attack does not help, but you said this started before that. That was my first thought.

Free range birds sometimes need to be 'trained'(or re-trained) to lay in the coop nests, especially new layers. Leaving them locked in the coop for a week or so can help 'home' them to lay in the coop nests. Fake eggs/golf balls in the nests can help 'show' them were to lay. They can be confined to coop and maybe run 24/7 for a few days to a week, provided you have adequate space and ventilation, or confine them at least until mid to late afternoon. You help them create a new habit and they will usually stick with it. ..at least for a good while, then repeat as necessary.
