That's one very pretty EE, and yes, they are cold tolerant, heat tolerant, great layers and friendly, too. I love my EEs, wouldn't be without EEs in my flock. You're lucky, she's really attractive!

One of the dogs had pulled her chest feathers a bit, so right now she has a few feathers just kind of hanging off her chest, but otherwise looks good. Poor girl. I'm really happy she is an EE and wyandotte! I had thought about getting some blue/green egg layers, but decided to wait until next time. Now I will definitely get some more when we are ready for more chickens.

In the third picture, the bird on the left looks like a cross between the EE and GLW, as well. Pretty birds!
