Howdy - One of my 12 girls has been laying teeny, I mean really teeny eggs - this morning I decided to check out what was inside of them. In the past with these ity bittys, I got lots of white with no yolk - but these had white with a red yolk and some particulate which was a darker red. Should have taken a pic but was so horrified it now sits in the bowels of our garbage disposal.
I thought I knew which hen it was, but yesterday I saw her go in and lay a normal egg. Any suggestions or ideas of what it is and what we need to do. None of the girls are acting sick, but we did just have our sweet leghorn, Dolly pass away from some phantom illness...
Any ideas would be appreciated - I'm going to do some research on my own, but I like this site because of the many ideas and experiences people share.
