I got a flock of 7 chickens in the winter. I also have 1 rooster and 3 chickens from an original flock. When the new ones arrived, nobody was laying for about 3 months. Finally, they started and eggs became plentiful. One of the original birds went broody, so I decided to let her hatch them. The eggs never hatched, and I eventually had to take them away. Since then, none of my chickens are laying ANY eggs. Why is this?

I don't know if this helps. My that went broody took 5 weeks to start laying.

Depending on what region of the country you are in, it can be do to the heat and its about time alot of chickens over a year old go into a molt or hard molt so they do not lay well...their diet also plays a part....

Mine all quit for weeks earlier in the Spring they just took a break

Ever hear of Murphy's law? If anything can go wrong it will!

Lots of eggs, no broodies-lots of broodies no eggs. It happens all the time.
