HI,
I have bought a hen from 170 km away from my home with his roster and transported them in bus my tie there legs and putting them in a carton .
my hen was laying egg in previous place she also laid egg during journey but now after that its fifth day i got not even a single egg she is also not broody yet but no egg still here
do any one has any idea

in a word 'stress' - chickens don't like change and it will throw them off laying for a while in many circumstances. It may just be a few days, it may be a few weeks before she settles to lay again. Just be patient and give her time to get used to her new surroundings. Just to note that she may also go into a stress induced moult and this is normal too.

what kind of hen? anyway, change in routine messes up a hen's routine... so just get her back on routine, feed water good food, and patience...

A good layer feed would work well. Chickens are omnivores. Almost anything you can eat they can. Grains make the base of most feeds, so any grains are a start. Table scraps add different nutrients to the mix. If she has an area to search for her own food that is to the good.

got an egg atlast

i feed them
egg shell
protine
rice
and chciken meat

and also wheat

thank u all of for helping me
best regards
