Hi, i have a bantam cochin, and she hasn't layed any eggs in 1-2 months. She last went into brooding about 1 month ago. I've checked the bushes and her house, and no eggs. Is there something wrong? Thank you!

Paintedtears!!!

There is probably nothing wrong, winter is a natural down time for egg laying. If she is eating and drinking normal and looks good she should start laying again.

Hey yall, i have 13 mixed breed hens, 5 brown hens??, 2 white legged, 2 black & 4 americana's . I have 2 roosters 1 plimoth roch and 1 ??? they have all molted and about 3 months ago they layed a few eggs and since then nothing at all! Could someone please give me some advice as to if i doing somthing wrong and if so what? They are eating and drinking good and they were wormed about a month ago. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I would agree with Buster. In addition to the 14 hours of light, I would also check to see of she is getting enough calcium, vitamins, and minerals in her feed.

Light worked for me also.

Have 20 laying hens
Egg production dropped from 16-18 per day to 2-4 per day
Have light bulb that comes on at 4AM and goes off shortly after daylight
Within 2 weeks of the light extension, egg production is back up to 12-14 per day....boy are my egg customers happy again!
