Not laying

I have a LH who has been laying for about 3 weeks now. She first started laying every day then went to every other day but now she hasn't laid in 2 days. Is this normal? She is eating, drinking and acting fine.

I don't know what an LH is? Laying hen perhaps? Yes, it sounds completely normal to me.

Yeah, they will be inconsistent in their laying sometimes. If they are well, eating good and active, I don't worry.

You don't think there's a chance she's found a new place to lay her eggs do you?

You sound like me, I have more brain freezes than I like to admit. I thought the same, I checked the coop, nesting boxes, even outside (which could be anywhere) but nothing. She is her highly active self. Thanks for easing my mind. Enjoy your day.

As long as she's acting normally I wouldn't worry. I have one easter egger who is very inconsistent, she'll lay three days in row, then nothing for three days, then every other day for a while, then take a couple days off, then lay two days in a row....well, you get the idea.

She's done that since she started laying last fall, and recently took a month off just for the fun of it apparently. Good thing I don't just keep her for egg production!
