Not Laying

I inherited a Pekin Duck that's about 2 years old from my friend. She's been laying daily for quite sometime. These last 6 days, no egg. Is this normal to go a few days without an egg? I'm new to all this so any help is greatly appreciated.

yep she is probably laid out for this egg cycle, and will take a bit of a rest then start back up, make sure she has good quality feed along with Oyster shell so she gets good calcium. she may rest 2 weeks to a month but you'll see eggs again.

Wow, I just thought they laid everyday with no resting. Guess I need to get the book "raising poultry for dummies"
