Not my Michael!

And just where did you get this information? He died heavily in debt. He squandered millions.

From CNN.
They announced after the court thing yesterday, That the mother of his children is getting 40% and the children get 40% and 20% go to charity.
and never land go to his lawyer or something like that.

He may be in debt but money was always coming in. He lived beyond his means but now the spending has stopped so millions are pouring in for his kids, mom, and charities. He also saved the 100+ unreleased songs for his kids so they'll get the profit once they're released out. My infos are from TMZ.
I saw the memorial on two channels, I recorded both just to make sure I saw all angles. I was brought to tears with Usher singing and the daughter speaking at the end. Great tribute, I just thought maybe Mariah should of wore something a bit more conservative considering the occasion JMHO.

I'm a MJ fan also and also found myself emotional along with those I saw on the t.v. at the memorial.

It's so very sad. He battled vitiligo and lupus. His head badly burned affecting his hair growth. People can be cruel in everyday life but in the limelight cruel can be magnified hundredsfold.

While I loved his music and will always have that I want to remember him as the man who helped raise over 60 million dollars by co-writing a song (we are the world) and rallying a bunch of singers together to help feed the hungry around the world, or the man who founded the Heal The World Foundation and poured money into it. How about the man who would visit sick children having to go in disguise and once in the hospital come out of the disguise and the children would be ultra surprised to have a visit from MJ who would pass out toys and gifts. What about as the man who saved the life of a toddler boy who had a week to live by sending his organization around the world not giving up until they found a liver. The man in the Book of World Records as the most giving to charity celeb. The man who suggested making the world a better place by starting with yourself. I could go on and on.

I remember and mourn that man...

My pray for michael is that He was ready to meet God, that his family dosen't fight over his money and that the press leaves his children alone. May he rest in peace.

i don't think we have heard the last from his children. i hope they have happy lives. so young to be losing a father. i am glad to see the human side of him. i was very moved watching it all unfold. i am glad i stayed home alone to watch it.

I dont think weve seen the last of his children either...If Joe Jackson has anything to do with it anyways.
I want to see them grow up. They are what Michael left behind. IF those kids share the same DNA with Michael I will be excited with whats to come with them. They are beautiful children. I dont blame him for masking his children. After all the AWFUL things they said about him...what are they going to conjure up for his kids?
I think his memorial was the perfect "unveiling" for the kids.
I hope them a wonderful happy life (without debbie rowe).

I think Debbie Rowe is going to try and get the kids. Not because she "wants" them...but because she wants what they have coming to them. She gave up her parental rights when those children were born, she has not rights to them now, IMHO!!

ETA: Has anything been said about "Blankets" mom? Do they even know who she is?

I can't imagine why anything should be any different just because someone is rich and famous, but when my two oldest children's bio father's rights were signed away it was permanent. My husband adopted them, but if he died that still wouldn't give anyone else ANY right to them....that was terminated. I hope they stick by how the law is really SUPPOSED to be in this case, too. Those children do NOT need that.

And for the person who thought they saw a resemblance to Michael, I agree. To me, there was a definite resemblance. They are all such beautiful children.

I saw Nightline yesterday and they said the Jackson family is in talk with Debbie now and it most likely include money for her to stay away. Debbie's parental rights were signed away when she divorced MJ and but it was restored when he went to trial.

I read somewhere that MJ never officially "adopted" the kids, so that is what may really "muddy the waters" a bit... Then again, who knows if it's true or not!!!!

PS: Grew up with MJ songs, some I loved, some I didn't... But they were always kinda "there". At some point I decided he was a bit of a wacko, albeit a talented one, and of course was aware of the controversy surrounding him. I didn't believe it, I didn't disbelieve it... Didn't spend a whole lotta time pondering it either cuz figured I would NEVER know for sure, anyway! Soooooooooo.... I was really SHOCKED at myself when I realized I was actually *really sad* about his passing. Or maybe about his life. Or maybe just the end of an era. Or maybe.... dunno...

Anyway, one thing that hit me hard was a picture they kept showing of him as a child, it was a closeup of his face, looking upward.. and THOSE EYES... all of the sudden I saw an unexpected, horrible, resemblance between that childs eyes and his terribly surgerized adult eyes... And I thought "That's IT!!!! ... That's what he was going for whether he knew it or not." Sad, sad, sad, no matter how you look at it.

R.I.P.
