Raccoons are so evil....they are determined. Good thing you got them..keep the trap set though.

I'm sorry for the losses and am glad you caught one of the culprits.

But...

If you're leaving out food for cats, you're going to attract raccoons & opossums that might not otherwise venture into your yard. Once they're close by, they'll also be tempted to catch themselves a fresh chicken dinner.
