Gracie is a 5 year old Buff Orpington. The sweetest, gentle and laid back girl. 🥰. Three days ago, I noticed she was hunched over a little and not acting herself. I thought it was because of the cold winter here in MN.. it’s been in the negative digits! The next day she was acting the same and when I went to give them cracked corn, she didn’t have any interest in it. So we brought her in last night thinking maybe the weather is really hard on her because of her age.. I don’t think it’s that. I felt her crop and it was rock hard. So I massaged it a couple of times. She’s now drinking water which is more than what she was doing.. she’s barely pooping and it’s dark green. I went to massage her crop again and it’s huge like a water balloon and when you massage it, it gurgles. I’ve tried to smell her breath and I don’t notice a foul smell.. her comb and waddles are red not pale. Is this a crop issue or something else? What do I do to get this little lady some relief? I want my old Gracie back. 😔

Are could be getting a yeast infection if her crop
I’ve been researching online about sour crop treatment. One site I found said to take a Monistat Suppository and cut it into 6 pieces... feed her two pieces (a.m./p.m.) a day for three days. Have you tried this before?

I have not.. whoever my birds had gotten sour crop, I’d just give them Apple cider vinegar water.
