I don't see the need to do that at all. Just let the chick hatch. Why is it the only egg in the incubator? A lone chick is a lonely chick and not happy.

Because...I had 2 one of them didnt make it. It was infertile so got RIF of it on day 10...I ain't some professional ...just trying incubating eggs for the first time as a pet once they hatch...
