I thought something was up when Nellie, the squatter, was hanging out in the nest box quite a bit today.
When DH returned home, he said Fred our Cochin was pacing and half-crowing at him until he peeked in the coop. DH kept it a secret until my daughter and I went out to do chicken chores. I checked on the litter and water in the coop and to my surprise, I found two little eggs. One a nice brown, the other speckled, I'll post pics tomorrow.
