Not pooping. Bacterial infection? PLEASE HELP!

She has started having normal poops again for what she is eating. Only thing is, she is not eating much, so there isn't really much to judge. One of her wings is drooped in a depressed way, not broken, and she expresses a general disinterest in anything. All she wants to do is sleep all day. Her siblings are not letting her eat, but even in isolation right next to them, she doesn't eat or drink. I guess the problem now is that she is depressed. I am also concerned about her wing, but it comes up when she gets excited about worms.

Tube feeding isn't cruel - in fact I'd say the momentary discomfort is better than the pain of slowly starving to death, which is what can happen in these situations. I've tube fed to get some birds out of tough spots and over the hill until they start feeling better enough to eat all they need on their own. It only takes about five minutes per session and doesn't seem to bother them all that much.

I would start weighing her - maybe when she does eat on her own, she's getting enough. But if you find she's losing weight, then it would be time to consider tube feeding, or putting her down so she doesn't starve over time.

Can you feel her keel and compare her to this chart?

Were you able to get the Baytril to try her out on? Lethargy and disinterest in food can be symptoms of infections.

I'd definitely keep an eye on the situation and order the supplies to have on hand just in case. 3 isn't terrible, but 2 would be definitely underweight.

What did you end up doing for the dosage on the Baytril, and how long did you give it?

She drinks about a pint a day while in quarantine, so 1mL per pint for 4 days Baytril plus 1/4 of a pill of amoxcillan everyday same amount of time.
