Not pregnant, just weird! Odd flavor combos

One of my absolute faves is bologna with spicy brown or deli mustard, jalapeno cheese & potato chips. In the absence of chips, fritoes will do. Either, with or without onion.

The local pizza parlor makes a pickle pizza. It's kind of like a meatless hamburger, except with more pizza. I think it's delicious, my family thinks it's delicious, everyone else seems to think that we're aliens. I honestly didn't know that pickle wasn't a ubiquitous pizza flavor until other people started in with "Man, that's weird." But I have a track record for that kind of thing, it took me several years to figure out that a "Mud Sundae" was a local-dairy thing and not a common flavor. (For the record, that would be coffee ice cream with hot fudge, crushed Oreo bits, and whipped cream.)

As for personal weird flavors... I adore balsamic vinegar and used to put it on anything and everything, regardless of how crazy the combination. Since I bought a bottle of the expensive stuff, though, I've been trying to stick to sane flavor combinations - these days it mostly gets mixed with strawberries and sugar as a tasty topping for panna cotta.

My dear husband who I really do love totally grossed me out today eating a bowl of banana cheerios and milk with a big ole honking hunk of Spam right in the middle of the bowl.

Oh I have loved PB and pickle since my friend introduced me to it way back in 2nd grade! Still love it!

Also spinach with catsup (hey, if you haven't tried it), which I think actually started when Mom was making us eat spinach and we were just trying to find SOME way to eat it...ha

When I was pregnant, though, I had very specific cravings with each of my three kids. The first was probably the weirdest: canned spaghetti (cold) and Tang mixed with Sprite instead of water, none of which I have had since except the Sprite, and she is 26 and has a baby of her own.

Second was tomato and lettuce sandwiches (no bacon).

Third was jalapenos ...on EVERYTHING! (he has red hair)

Haven't read all the posts, but on the topic of odd food combos, I have a few:

1. I'll put sour cream (or cottage cheese) in almost anything. I mix it into my plate of spaghetti and sauce, I'll mix it into mac & cheese, I mix it into baked beans, lentil soup, almost anything.

2. Same for American Cheese; I melt it into everything. All of the above and anything else I can possibly melt it into.

3. Peanut Butter on American Cheese, rolled up and eaten as a snack. Yum. Or mustard rolled up into american cheese, also good.

4. I love a salty/chocolate combo, as I think some others mentioned. Hershey Special Dark and Potato Chips, *THE BEST*.

5. Sharp Cheese on a Ginger Snap.

6. Extra Sharp Cheese and Chocolate, also a good combo.

7. I very rarely eat cake. But if I do, it's chopped up and mashed into ice cream until it's a soggy mess. Mmmm...

8. Cucumber and any Creamy salad dressing sandwiches. Messy but good. Especially with American Cheese!

9. Garlic Powder & Parmesan Cheese on Popcorn (and Onion Powder too!)

10. Any soft cheese spread (Garlic & Herb, etc) spread on a plain donut.

I'm sure I have more, but there's some off the top of my head.
