I was here years ago but when the last batch got older and we decided we were going to move they went to the soup pot and we were chicken-less.
5+ years later, we have our new digs and acquired a roo (see post about that) and are starting the new flock.
The coop is in process, the lumber milled from our own trees is drying in the garage. There is no extra heat on to dry it because the temporary pen is also in the garage with the young roo. A few hens are on the way to keep him company so I’m back; new birds, new place, new challenges. Unprepared and new questions to be answered.
