Not roosting yet

I'm just chiming in with some coop observations.
Your location is in Colorado so I imagine you have some fairly good sized predators to worry about. At a minimum I'd change the window coverings to 1/2" hardware cloth as ripping through the chicken wire would be a piece of cake for what you would likely have coming for chicken dinner.
I'd also invest in a guard for that bare bulb so close to the roost and the chickens so someone doesn't accidentally hit it and break it.
Otherwise, I love your coop and set up! Very nicely done.

Thank you! I really wanted hardware cloth for everything but hubby said no. I bet I can get it for the coop and he wouldn't even notice now lol! And I will cover the light bulb. I didn't think of that either. I live in town and of course I know that is no guarantee that I won't have a raccoon come my way so I will put some on the coop. I have three gsds that have access to the yard all night too, just to give me extra peace of mind.

UPDATE
They are roosting now! 2 days ago I started leaving the light on for a couple of hours after they went in for the night and that did it! So I believe that they just went to bed to late for them to see the roosts. Thought I would share my findings so maybe it will help others out. They are now in their 18th week and looking like they might start laying eggs. I hope! So excited for that!
