Yea, after further contemplation, I think the Welfar Checks might be funnier than the southern accent.

Mine get 'welfare checks' every two or three hours on the days when I'm not working. They are really milking the system, but I do believe checking so often will save their lives! Thankfully the temperature has dropped to the high 80s the last couple of days, and not so much in the 105 range. Phew!

What's the heat index though? It was 105F here this morning and supposed to be 112F this afternoon. The humidity here is horrible, like walking through water!
