We have 1 hive and we are needing another. They are actually increasing in number and we have commercial corn fields all 3 sides of our land.

I am in PA we planted some Sieberian Lavender plants about 2 yrs ago and I see the honeybees so much more now then I did in th 5 previous years we lived in our houes. I also plant sunflowers anywhere I can fit them because I always see them collecting from them too. The kids love to watch them pack their little back legs with pollen. I have not seen a hive but I am very happy to see some around.

This is the first year in at least 5 that I have seen very many honeybees here in WNY. I am fortunate and have a wild hive living in a old oak tree on my property, they worked the fruit trees in force this spring and now they are working the clover in the yard. My daughters dont appreciate the yard part they hate wearing shoes. If I am not mistaken what took them out around here was some type of mite, at least that was what Cornell was publishing. Hopefully they will make a strong comeback they are very benificial, especialy to the fruit producers.

Alot of bee keepers rely on Fruit grower. The bee keepers would bring their bee to the grove. The trees would get pollinated the bee would make orange blossim honey and everybody is happy. Well almost. Those who grow seedless fruit don`t want the bees near their trees. What to do?

I read some where that it is possible that cell phones are harming the bee populations. I don't remember the specifics.

Mainly wasps here, very few bees. When I was a kid the cover would be filled with bees everywhere now I rarely see any on them, odd!

No honey bees around here...But there are a bunch of those huge wood bees around.

North Central USA. Wisconsin. We were just commenting last night with the In-Laws.....WHERE ARE ALL THE BEES????? They didn't have any strawberries at their house this year. Over 200 plants and THOUSANDS of blossoms and not a single strawberry.

I...on the other hand....had a nice crop this year. I live about 15 miles from them.

Northern MD here, we have a good number of bees this year even with the dry conditions stunting the flowers, I have seen a huge increase in the yellow wasps this year, the darn things are everywhere
