I have 6 baby quails that hatched 1 day ago. I took them out of the incubator 4 hours ago and put them in the brooder. They didn't seem to eat at all so I put the crumbles on my hand and put it in front of them. After an hour or so I saw them eat maybe a grain or two but then again nothing. Also, I tried reaching 95 degF in the brooder but I could only reach 90 degF. The quails seem to do fine with it. Not really limiting to one part of the brooder so I guess it is fine?
Another thing, once I hand-held them, they are only sleeping in my hand now. Not sure why or if it is ok? They seem healthy. They just look more comfortable in my hands than when in the brooder. And they have just been sleeping my hand for the past hour.

So, overall, I am worried about two things. One is that they don't seem to eat much presently, and another is that they only sleep comfortably in my hand now.

Any help would be appreciated!

Your chicks may not eat much during their first 24 hours. They are still absorbing the yolk from their egg, so it's okay. If they have eaten some, then they know how, so I wouldn't worry about them.

90 in the brooder seems cold for newly hatched chicks, but as long as they're not piling onto each other trying to get warm, then they're okay.

Are you using a food dish? If so they should start sleeping in it (instead of eating from it) and eating off the floor…not bright but adorable, and then they’ll all sleep on their sides with their legs sticking out like dead things, they like to give you a heart attack at times! Enjoy!
