Or am I making odd chicks. All of my chicks seem to have a bigger left side of the chest. Is this normal?

yeah I think that is what it is. They are in the same spot on my guys. So this is normal?

If it is the crop then it is normal. It gets noticeable after the chicks eat and it is filled with food.
