Not sure if my injured bird is a lost cause

There are antibiotics you can purchase without a prescription. I believe one is FishMox?
Also, there’s a good chance a raccoon got her. They will grab birds by the wing, leg or head and try to drag the through chicken wire ☹️
Unless I’m mistaken, FishMox is more regulated as of this year. I was reading about that yesterday. I appreciate the tip tho!

I would give her her regular diet. It has all the nutrients she needs. If she's reluctant to eat, moisten it to make a mash of it. She may just be getting weak because of the change in diet. Oatmeal doesn't provide much.

You might also provide some vitamins and electrolytes. Gatorade or Pedialyte will do. But always keep plain water available so she has a choice. Does she have grit available for digestion? If she's a layer, does she still have oyster shell? I know, with so much going on, it's easy to lose track of these details.

The Recovery 911 I’m giving her is a supplement that you mix with the water and it has electrolytes, probiotics, and vitamins :) She’s not a layer, she’s only 5 or 6 weeks old. I’ve been sprinkling her usual Chick Starter on top of the mash. Does she need additional grit, do you think?

If you're giving her oatmeal and anything else besides the Chick Starter, I would give her chick grit just to be on the safe side. Sorry, I didn't realize she was just a chick, missed that somehow.

She's probably suffering shock. Symptoms are leg weakness and extreme lethargy. Treat with one teaspoon sugar in one cup water with a pinch of salt and baking soda. And yes, keep her warm.

Unfortunately, fish mox and all over the counter antibiotics have been removed from shelves. You have to got through a vet to get antibiotics now, even those fish meds. But people prescriptions work so you can use those if you are lucky to have them.

Does it make sense that she would have a delayed shock reaction though? I’m just puzzled because, for nearly 2 days she was acting so normal.
