I just stumbled upon this article about the upcoming 17-year cicadas on Accuweather and thought this might be interesting for all Gardeners and Poultry owners. My ducks are very excited, they have heart that cicadas are tasty and very rich in protein and West Virginia is smack in the center of the map:

I lived in Texas for 10 years and have never experienced a cicada "outbreak". How is that? You have creepy crawlers everywhere? Anybody has seen that b4?

My chickens loooooved cicadas. I live in Texas, and yeah sometimes we get (where I live) tiny outbreaks. All you hear 24/7 is little chirping sirens. Drives us crazy.
