I set 6 eggs on Saturday 18th may at 1pm - 4 made it to lockdown but nothing has happened and it is now either day 21 or 22 - can anybody give me any tips - I am using the Brinsea mini Eco and have followed the instructions so the humidity has been high or about 3 days.:(

Had to briefly open the incubator - less than 10 secs to fill the water resevoir - it was almost empty - quickly candled 1 egg - chick moving, I couldn't identify any internal pip and couldn't hear any chipping - thnk they may just be a bit late - they are Cobb birds does anybody know if heavier breeds take longer ?

how exciting....don't know the ans to your question but bantams are often early and marans are a heavy bird and they tend to be late so you might be right.

hope the rest join in soon.

It is ok if your eggs don't hatch the day they are due, i have have 2 brinsea mini incubators and just got the last one this week, but i have have set 5 batches in it this year and have had a very good hatch rate, but thye have hatched about day 22-23

I made a homade incubator set 14,and 12 hatched I didnt hear nothing after the first one they started hatching day 20 but some of the peeps lasted 24 hrs or more I have Sex
