Haha yes mine is up on a landscape brick also.its the perfect height.my daughter is in college and the chicks have become my babies now.I spend more of my free time in the coop than I do in my house lol.I’m new to this this year And when I find out that I have done something wrong to make their life more uncomfortable I feel absolutely terrible but I know it’s a learning process and I’ve learned a ton most of it from reading the posts on this website.I put my waterer on a landscaping brick. It keeps it up high enough that it doesn't get too dirty. But, they still manage to get pine shavings in it.
Good for you for noticing that they weren't getting their water!
