Ok, so I have a chick that is about 3 weeks old. Our rooster is rir x bearded silkie, this chick came from a light brown egg. We've got golden laced wyandottes, Barnveilders and a Polish with similar color. I know our Polish lays white eggs so it's not her but this chick is getting feather that stick straight up on her head lol

Chick will have crest due to the father being half silkie but mother is the wyandotte as it has a single copy lacing

This is her when she first hatched, best picture I have of her comb. She doesn't seemed have much of one in this, not a single comb.
