after losing a rouen duck nest that was almost ready for hatch, we decided to take the eggs from another hen and incubate them. I counted day 1 as the day I set them as they really weren't veining yet, but after candling last night, I'm thinking they may be a little farther along than I previously thought. I have lockdown scheduled for next fri, but I'm thinking maybe I should lockdown a little sooner. Will it hurt the little ducklings if I lock them down and stop turning before day 25? Is it safer to lock down too soon or risk having them pip in the turner and the humidity too low?

Im not sure...
I think lower humidity a little long vs higher for longer would be better as they might drown if its too high for too long..
Im not 100% sure though. I wouldnt worry about stop turning too soon though.

Maybe someone else will come along with a better answer
