Not sure what happened?? Any ideas??

After work I went to check on my 3 week old chicks. Everyone seemed ok & my fav BO chick looked like she was dust bathing in the corner. After a few minutes another chick came cover to dust bath & she got up & started to walk away. She took 2 steps & collapsed to the side. She kept doing this. It looked almost like she was paralyzed on the one side. I panicked, got a shoebox with a towel & warm water bottle in it & fed her some yogurt. I walked her across the field to my husband in her little shoebox & told him something was wrong with her. I took her out of the box & put her on the ground to show him & she walked off perfectly normal. Any ideas as to what happened?? She seemed a little tired tonight but otherwise once I put her back with the other chicks she was eating & drinking normally.

Sometimes chicks have fits. So to speak. Makes me have a heart attack, and then they are fine!!! Little weenies!!

I have had one do that too. They are fine. just a chicken thing I guess, kinda like puppies and their dreams.

Chicks will fall asleep with no warning. I often see one running and it suddenly does a face plant. It is most amusing when instead of falling over the do the "tripod" thing where their head drops and the are standing on their feet leaning forward on their beak.

I've had them dust. then they do it. I figured that it was because they had the dust and grit up in their feathers and it felt funny to them. After watching them they would shake it off and become perfectly normal!!

I noticed mine will do that for a few seconds and then jump up and fly like nothing ever happened! It scares you at first.
