Hey everyone! Everyone seems so knowledgable here and I'm hoping you can shed some light on a few questions. My chicks are 5.5 weeks. I'm not sure of the breed for 4 of them. And I'm not sure the sex for 5 of them. Any insights would be so much appreciated. New to this and I didn't purchase from a store.
1) not sure breed or sex for the little black one
2) the blue/grey and brown feathered one has the shape of a hen but slightly pink comb already
3). The 3 barred ones. I am certain the one is male due to comb. 2 have single combs and the more Brown one has a rose comb I believe. Not sure if the others are male or female and what breed they are.
4) my fluffy cheeked one...Easter Eggers, pretty sure cockerel but not sure.

7 is definitely a roo, 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8 could be roos. For the black one, what color are the underside of the feet? if pink, it's a black australorp. if yellow, it's a jersey giant. few of the barred ones look like bielefelders (brown and black ones).

5.5 weeks?? Honestly I suspect them all for possibly being cockerels. Picture 3 and 7 are quite definite. The rest are suspects...for 5.5 weeks!

Pic 3-5 are the same bird. I know the one barred is a cackerel, I just wasn't sure of breed. They have a lot of yellowish undertone, so assuming not barred rock.
Thanks for your input. I'm hoping for more girls, but I think I picked almost all boys (that would be my luck haha).

Where did you get them from? Striaght run?

The lighting is not too great in the photos, so its a lot harder to tell if the combs are pale, pink, or red...

2 of the barred were hatched by a friend's hen, I'm not sure where she got the eggs, and the others were hatched by someone local. She's willing to buy back any roos, so that's not a huge concern, but you do fall in love and hope for more girls!
