If it is a juvenile bird, as we said, it wouldnt necessarily have the cheek puffs and such yet. May still grow into them. Also depends upon the hatchery it came from. I have catalogues from 3 different ones and they all look a little different for the breed in the photos.

I'm not seeing much similarities.
Especially the huge lack of buff coloring in that bird.
OP says original owner showed their birds. With that I wouldn't see them producing non bearded birds.
With the comb size that bird would be plenty old enough to be bearded.
