ok not sure what my chicks are, was given some fertilised eggs for my broody to sit on and these are what hatched the bottom four were bigger eggs and they have feathered feet

Don't ask my help for the hairy legged ones because I have no experience there...But chick 2 looks like an Easter Egger and 4 looks like a SLW

Thanks for replying i don't know what breeds they keep but they are free range, got them through a friend of a friend who just said they were a mix. I have 4 LF but am new to bantams, do EEs have feathered legs? 2 has lightly feathered legs but is a wonderful colour, not sure how to tell if they are girls or boys yet, did some of the old wives tales with mixed results and tried feather sexing not sure if that works with bantys though.

You will have to let them grow for a few more weeks and let the feathers come out and other traits before anyone can really give you a guess on what genders or type of mixes they maybe. More en-likely they are mixes.

Thanks, guess i will have to play the waiting game, which I am not very good at, I really hope that out of the 9 hatched I will get some girls. This site is amazing I love looking on it. Not sure if we have a site like this in the UK.

There's folks here from the UK and other areas of the world. But most are from the USA and Canada. You could try the "where am I where are you" section to see if you can find a thread with people from the UK. I know there are several USA state threads there.

Ok I have been trying to do some research on my chicks: 1 and 2 still not sure they both have feathery legs, 3 and 4 I believe may be Japanese bantams and the bottom four may be Pekin bantams..........any input on these guesses would be gratefully received

They are bantam size I think, they are a little bigger than the top four but were all hatched within 36hrs of each other, any ideas on the colours ...... I was thinking Lavender for the grey ones, there is another one which isn't pictured here but it is pale silvery/grey with very dark grey almost black top of head.
