Not Sure what this is!

Has anyone see anything like this before? It's kinda firm, no shell and found in the nest box. These two make 3 that I've found. Rhode Island Red hens 2.25 years old coming out of molt. I found these two today, was gone all day working but yesterday one of my hens started singing the egg song real loud.

If it's got layers like a onion it is a lash egg, i believe it can be treated by amoxicillin.

Ok, let me see if I can figure out which one it is... I read that Baytril 22.7 might help.

Baytril is what I would treat her with, but it's banned for use in poultry, so you should think about that before using it.

If you decide to use it, the most common dose is ~5 mg per pound of body weight orally twice a day, so a five pound hen would get a whole 22.7 mg tablet twice a day. Do you have the tablets?
