Earlier this week I was picking up eggs in the coop that the broody had abandoned. One of them started chirping at me so I took it quickly to the incubator and it hatched a couple of hours later no problem. A second one was candled and there were veins and movement so it’s currently in the incubator as well. No pipping or anything yet. My problem is that I’m picking up fertile eggs tomorrow that I had planned to start in the incubator right away. But what do I do about this one egg that I have no idea how long it is until it hatches? What would I do about the humidity if I put new eggs in and this one is, I’m assuming, close to hatching? I don’t even know how close to hatching it is. The air cell looks good. The egg is pretty full and I can see just a hint of movement. But I really don’t want to wait to long to put the new eggs in the incubator either. Once before I waited too long and nothing developed. Any advice would be welcomed.
